Public Information

The Ktunaxa Kinbasket Treaty Council, the Province of British Columbia and the Government of Canada consider public access to the treaty negotiation process important for the successful conclusion of a modern-day treaty.

The treaty process consists of Side Table and Main Table negotiation sessions between the three parties. Members of the public are welcome to attend Main Table sessions as observers.  A question and answer period follows all Main Table negotiation sessions.

Side Table negotiations are not open to the general public.

As components of the negotiations or chapters are finalized, or as they near finalization, they are released as Public Documents for public review and consultation purposes.
