  • In December of 1996 the Ktunaxa/Kinbasket Child and Family Services Society was established with the support of the five communities. The Famil Violence Prevention Program merged with KKCFSS in 1997.
  • In 1999 Negotiations were completed with the Province of British Columbia Ministry for Children and Families and Indian and Northern Affairs for a “Delegation Enabling Agreement” which will allow the KKCFSS to phase in the Family Support and Child Protection Services over a four year period.
