KKTC HEALTH MISSION STATEMENT
We, the Ktunaxa Nation Council Health Department, will provide holistic, culturally appropriate and respectful health services to meet the needs of our citizens. These services will include health promotion, disease prevention and health care. We will work with the communities to help them determine their health needs, and encourage capacity building, community planning, and involvement in community development. We will develop internal and external partnerships that will enable us to build an efficient and effective Health Program.

Community Health Resource Coordinator
Provides Non-Insured Health Benefit Information and updates
Community Resources
Medical Service Plan updates and enrollment forms

First Nation Inuit Health Information System (F.N.HJ.S.)
Keeps accurate health information in a secure location
Retrieves health information eg., immunizations, client core information, and population statistics
Is available to all First Nations and Inuit communities

Community Health Nurse
Promotes Health and Wellness through support and education
Retrieves health information eg., immunizations, client core information, and population statistics
Pre-natal/post-natal support
Diabetes Education

The Ktunaxa/Kinbasket Tribal Council Health Department offers a variety of services, to meet individual needs, for Aboriginal People.

Office hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00-4:30 p.m.
The Community Health Nurse travels to the surrounding communities; Tobacco Plains, Lower Kootenay, St. Mary's and Columbia Lake. Please check with your Community Health Advocate for specific times.
