| Ktunaxa Lands & Resources
Agency
Established in 2002, the Ktunaxa Lands
and Resources Agency is the operational entity responsible
for managing the lands and resources within the Traditional
Territory of the Ktunaxa Nation. The Agency provides support
to, and takes direction from, the Ktunaxa Lands and Resources
Council (KLRA).
Mandate
The mandate of the Ktunaxa Lands and Resources Agency is
to ensure that the lands and resources within the Traditional
Territory of the Ktunaxa Nation are effectively managed
and protected for the benefit of the citizens, communities
and government of the Ktunaxa Nation.
Mission Statement
The Ktunaxa Lands and Resources Agency works cooperatively
with the citizens, communities and government of the Ktunaxa
Nation and other groups to provide quality services that
ensure the highest standards of care are provide for the
lands and resources within the Traditional Territory of
the Ktunaxa Nation.
Grounded in Ktunaxa Nation culture,
traditional knowledge and the best available science, these
services address the diverse and evolving needs of the Ktunaxa
Nation.
